O Governo vai finalmente assinar o contracto de pesquisa e exploração petrolífera com a Repsol e com a RWE para extracção de petróleo e gás natural na costa algarvia. O ex-ministro da Economia, Manuel Pinho, manteve este projeto na "gaveta" desde 2007.
Especialistas em geologia como o presidente da Partex, Costa Silva, admitem que o potencial das reservas de gás natural da costa algarvia deve assegurar as necessidades de consumo do mercado português por mais de 10 anos.
